Organized since 2019, Nuestra Creación is an annual curatorial exhibition of Georgia’s unknown emerging Latine Artists.
Atlanta's art scene is competitive and focuses only on a few artists. Despite the immense talents, it is home to. We empower unknown, emerging artists by amplifying them to broader audiences who have not been exposed to their talents through this art show.
OUR STORY
MISSION
Nuestra Creación is dedicated to uplifting underrepresented artists, especially Latine, BIPOC, immigrant, and marginalized creatives, by providing accessible opportunities to showcase their work. Not only during Latin Heritage Month, but throughout the year-long, making creative events, exhibitions, public art, and educational programs.
We foster artistic careers, advocate for art as a tool for healing, and ensure the next generation of creatives can thrive in an inclusive and supportive environment. And soon enough, breaking the “STARVING ARTIST” stigma.
VISSION
We envision a future where diverse voices in art are celebrated, recognized, and financially sustainable. Nuestra Creación aims to become the first Latine-owned contemporary art space in Atlanta, serving as a permanent home for emerging artists, community engagement, and cultural storytelling that connects people beyond borders.
GOAL
To become the first immigrant-led creative space in Metro Atlanta that truly welcomes all creatives. A home for immigrant parents, LGBTQ+, BIPOC, women, and low-income youth in the South. We exist to keep the light and engine moving, so galleries, institutions, and collectors can see the value, growth, and brilliance of the artists who have been part of our seven-year journey. We believe in passing the torch by creating opportunities across all creative and artistic practices.
