OUR FIRST COLLABORATION WITH DAD’S GARAGE ON OUR LATIN COMEDY SHOW
🎭 Improv comedy,
🎤stand up,
🍿food, and music await at this special performance uplifting the talents of our Latine community as they celebrate their personal histories, community, and culture. Performers showcase their art to bring the laughter to new heights and create new comedy scenes at this vibrant show.
But the performance isn’t the limit of the festivities! Beginning at 7 p.m., peruse handmade crafts by Latine artists, enjoy food, and party in community in the Dad's Garage lobby and on our patio before and after the show.
MOVIE NIGHT WITH CAPTURA ATL
Join us at Echo Contemporary Arts for a screening of “CICADE DE DEUS” a 2002 Brazilian film that follows Rocket, a young photographer, as he documents the reality and the evolution of his community through a camera lens. Followin the screening we will have a discussion of street Photography and the importace of bearing witness to change through your artistic practice.
YOGA AND SOUND BATH WELLNESS
For the first time, Nectar Yoga is joining RAÍCES as one of our wellness sponsors! 🌱✨
Alongside our beautiful coaches Natasha Ryles and Stephanie Germann, we’re bringing together the power of yoga, sound bath and mindfulness for a special session centered on grounding, movement, rest and reconnecting with ourselves.
RAÍCES is not only about discovering where we come from, but also creating space to breathe, heal and be present with our community.

Nuestra Creación presents our 8th Annual Exhibition celebrating Latin Heritage Month!
This year, RAÍCES is about exactly that our roots.
Latinoamérica and the Caribbean are made up of so many cultures, histories and identities. Our roots are Indigenous, Afro, Asian, Middle Eastern, European and so much more. Some of us are immigrants, some are children of immigrants, and some are reconnecting with where they come from.
This year we are bringing together 80+ artists from different backgrounds, generations and experiences to celebrate those stories through art.
At a time when we are seeing our histories, identities and heritage months being questioned, erased or pushed aside — from Black History Month, AAPI Heritage Month and Pride to our own Latin Heritage Month — we believe it is even more important to create space for each other.
And RAÍCES is more than an exhibition!
Throughout the month we are bringing together art, markets, community programming, workshops and ¡RISAS Y MÁS! our special comedy fundraising night featuring Latine-led comedy, a market, karaoke and more.
RAÍCES is about remembering where we come from while also celebrating the diverse community we are creating right here in Atlanta.

We invite artists to submit work inspired by heritage, family, traditions, ancestry, and cultural identity.
